Scheduled airspace shutdown down on May 17 reduced to 2 hours, says CAAP

The scheduled airspace shutdown on the 17th of May at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will be reduced to two hours, said the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

According to the report on “State of the Nation” on Friday, the shutdown will start at 2 a.m. and last until 4 a.m.

The airspace shutdown will be implemented to give way to corrective maintenance activity at the Air Traffic Management Center.

The shutdown will also be done to arrange the air traffic and operations of other airports in the country. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
