Marcos: I try to avoid causing traffic

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said he tries not to cause heavy traffic on the road whenever he moves from one place to another.

In an interview with GMA Integrated News’ Pia Arcangel which aired on “24 Oras,” Marcos said plans are underway to continue trying to ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila.

“You cannot avoid traffic kahit na may helicopter ka. If you’re also just within the city, you don’t take the helicopter. And the other thing I try to avoid is to cause traffic,” Marcos said.

“Nakakahiya nga kung minsan eh. Kasi when I go… everybody has to stop,” he added.

(I’m a bit ashamed sometimes. Because when I go… everybody has to stop.)

”I try not to cause traffic and then of course yes I try to maximize my time,” Marcos said.

Marcos said an efficient public transport system is needed to combat heavy traffic in Metro Manila.

Among the possible ways to prevent traffic are improving the railway system and adding ferry stations in Pasig River. —NB, GMA Integrated News
