According to the DMW, Filipino workers have become more in demand because of their hardworking, patient, and caring nature.
He said with this, the number of countries that want to make bilateral labor agreements with the Philippines is increasing.
“Nakikita natin na Europe is opening up and even certain parts of Asia na matagal na rin natin kausap sa bilateral labor talks Japan for instance,” said DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac.
(We see that Europe is opening and even certain parts of Asia that we have been talking about for a long time in bilateral labor talks, like Japan for instance.)
Aside from the jobs fair for jobs abroad, various job fairs were around the metro including the one in Pasay.
Cacdac reminded the applicants to beware of illegal recruiters, and check on the DMW website if the job orders offered are legitimate, and if the license of the recruitment agency that offers it is updated.
He also said to never fall for jobs that are simply offered on social media.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA Integrated News
