Women’s group Gabriela filed its certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) for the 2025 elections on Friday, with former Kabataan Rep. Sarah Elago as their first nominee.
If given a seat in the House of Representatives, Elago said she will continue to work on measures that support women and the LGBTQ+ community such as the Divorce Bill and SOGIE Bill.
“Gayun din ang pag amiyenda para palakasin ang Anti-Rape Law at ang Anti-Boso Law at pagtataguyod ng women’s health,” Elago said.
(We will continue to work on strengthening the Anti-Rape and Anti-Boso Laws and promote women’s health.)

Gabriela is currently a member of the 19th Congress with Arlene Brosas as representative.
Brosas earlier also filed her Certificate of Candidacy for senator under the Makabayan Bloc for the 2025 polls.
