DepEd is keen to deliver results for education stakeholders

Following President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s expression of support for the education sector, the Department of Education on Tuesday said it was keen to deliver results through its programs for education stakeholders.

The DepEd said in a statement that it had been institutionalizing reforms “to recalibrate the curriculum, provide rapid and responsive delivery of education services, and ensure the welfare of learners and teachers.”

During Monday’s State of the Nation Address, Marcos said learning recovery would be the primary means to address the learning losses among students brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marcos also highlighted the DepEd’s Matatag Agenda, which aims to implement resilient reforms in the curriculum, education services, and provision of facilities, learner wellbeing, and teacher support programs.

For the Education Department, Marcos’ SONA remarks “demonstrates his dedication to improving the lives of every Filipino.”
