The Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro, 10 years after

March 27, 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB), which is the final peace agreement between the Government of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). The agreement, signed after decades of fighting, paved the way for the creation of an autonomous political entity now known as the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Government and MILF officials gathered inside the MILF’s Camp Darapanan in the municipality of Sultan Kudarat in Maguindanao del Norte to commemorate the signing 10 years later.
