Globe Telecom Inc. has restored most of its network services across the Visayas and Mindanao as it steps up relief and connectivity support for communities affected by Typhoon Tino. The Ayala-led telco reported full service restoration in Palawan, while network availability in the Visayas has reached 97.5 percent. Connectivity has been fully restored in Aklan, Antique, Biliran, Bohol, Capiz, Eastern Samar, Guimaras, Northern Samar, Siquijor, Negros Oriental and Iloilo. To provide immediate communication support, Globe has opened additional Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging and Libreng WiFi stations in Cebu, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental and Guimaras. The company has also expanded direct relief operations through its partnership with Ayala Foundation Inc., distributing 1,000 food packs to communities in Talisay City and Cebu City, and another 1,000 packs delivered across Isabela and Binalbagan in Negros Occidental. Globe’s priority remains ensuring connectivity and essential support services in heavily affected areas as recovery efforts continue.
