TEAM España of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Track and Field grabbed the championship title in the open category of the Kadayawan Davao City Athletics Open 2025 on Aug. 10, 2025. Three MVPs from the team were featured during the event: Janel Cabines in the 18 under category girls, Prince Hermil Cuyos in the 18 under category boys, and Kharis Lark Reil Pantonial in the open category men. Pantonial earned four gold medals in running events, including the 200m and 400m dashes, as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Cabines also won four gold medals in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m dash, and 4x400m mixed relay. In the open category overall, Spectrum Runners ranked as the first runner-up, followed by UM Davao as the second runner-up. The Kadayawan Davao City Athletics Open 2025, now in its 3rd year, was held from Aug 9 to 10, with various teams from Mindanao competing in running, jumping, and throwing activities, serving as a platform for young athletes to develop their skills and talents.
