SUNTRUST Properties Inc. officially held a ceremonial turnover of house models to families now residing at the Palm City on Friday, Aug. 15, one of the company’s ongoing residential developments that blends modern living and nature experience. Located in the heart of Tagum City, the 27.7-hectare project features four two-story models—Abigail, Daphne, Bridgette, and Cathleen. According to its plans, the developer will build around 1,300 units, specifically designed to avoid overcrowding. Abigail and Daphne are duplex units, with Abigail having a floor area of 86.83 on an 88-square-meter lot, featuring three bedrooms and one toilet and bath, while Daphne sits on a similar-sized lot with the same number of rooms but only has a floor area of 60 square meters. Bridgette has a 100.65 sqm floor area, 120 sqm lot area, three bedrooms, one powder room, and one toilet and bath. Cathleen features a balcony, four bedrooms, three toilets and baths, and one powder room, with a floor area of 155.70 sqm and a lot area of 150 sqm. During the ceremony, two housing units—models Bridgette and Cathleen—were formally turned over to their happy owners. Atty. Harrison M. Paltongan, Suntrust Properties president, said they wanted to fill a gap in housing in Tagum City, which is typically low-cost and middle! “-low cost. Palm City, designed with seamless lifestyle, convenience, and tranquility, is strategically located near Tagum City’s nearby tourist spots and establishments. Residents can visit leisure hubs, hospitals, schools, as well as government institutions. The exclusive enclave also boasts amenities like a clubhouse, swimming pool, wedding pavilion, open parks, a cabana, basketball court, and children’s playgrounds. Two date, 13 homeowners are ready to move in, and about 30 have issued a notice of acceptance. By the end of the year, Palm City would have more than 100 homeowners. Suntrust also plans to develop a strip mall on a two-hectare property in front of Palm City to make it even more convenient for its residents. To be named Palm City Walk, the strip mall is patterned after commercial complexes in BGC and Makati, bringing in known brands in food, grocery, and retail. The company is rushing the building permit, with the timeline for completion set within the year, in time for homeowners to move in.
