President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. distributed more patient transport vehicles (PTVs) to local government units (LGUs) in Mindanao, as part of his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare access. Joined by Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Mel Robles, Marcos led the ceremonial turnover of emergency vehicles in Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. He reiterated his promise to provide all 1,642 LGUs with at least one PTV within the year. A total of 106 PTVs were distributed to cities and municipalities across Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Lanao del Sur, and Basilan. Each PTV is equipped with essential medical tools, including a stretcher, oxygen tank, and blood pressure monitor. The PCSO has distributed 1,067 PTVs, covering 62 percent of targeted LGUs nationwide, and aims to achieve 100 percent coverage by year-end. Marcos also visited a school in Zamboanga del Norte, where Starlink devices were distributed to ensure reliable internet connectivity, and assured that his administration would prioritize budget allocation for healthcare, education, and infrastructure, including providing internet access to all schools nationwide and free data to teachers and students.
