The City Engineer’s Office (CEO) enforced the demolition order on Camp Eleaga Spring Resort in Purok Golden Shower, Barangay Malabog, Paquibato District, Davao City, on February 20, 2025, at approximately 9:17 a.m. The operation, led by Perlito Sobiono, CEO team leader, began after an hour of negotiations with the property owner who subsequently granted the demolition team permission to proceed.
According to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) report, the establishment built illegal structures, including swimming pools, cabins, huts, and other resort facilities. Paquibato personnel, under the command of Police Major Janus Lumabaya B. Macli-ing, provided area security throughout the process. As of 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, the demolition was already 55% complete and proceeding peacefully. Authorities reported no untoward incidents during the operation.
