Low-Pressure System Near Mindanao May Intensify into Tropical Depression Crising

State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a cloud cluster east of Mindanao due to its possibility of strengthening into a low pressure area, which could develop into a tropical cyclone and be given the local name “Crising”. The southwest monsoon is expected to bring isolated rains over several provinces, including Bataan, Zambales, Cavite, and Batangas, with cloudy skies and possible rains also forecast for the MIMAROPA region, Western Visayas, and other areas. The effects of the southwest monsoon are expected to strengthen by Thursday or Friday, while the rest of the country is forecast to experience fair weather with possible thunderstorms. Additionally, PAGASA is monitoring a tropical storm named “Nari” outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, which is moving towards Japan and not expected to directly affect the country.
