Classes in all levels in both public and private schools in Lanao del Sur are suspended on Monday, 23 February 2026, due to the shear line and easterlies affecting Mindanao. Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr. issued Executive Order 005 on Sunday, declaring the suspension as moderate to heavy rains have inundated parts of the province. According to the EO, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) recommended precautionary measures, including the temporary suspension of classes, to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.
