JGFP Launches 2026 with Prestigious Mindanao Open Tournament

The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines (JGFP) is set to host its annual Mindanao Open tournament on January 4, 2026, at Apo Golf and Country Club in Davao City, featuring the best young golfers from Mindanao competing against those from Metro Manila. Johanna Blair Uyking, a finalist in the Philippine Amateur Open, is expected to lead the host team, which will face off against notable players such as Philippine Amateur champion Lisa Sarines, Nicole Gaisano Gan, and Enzo Cham. The tournament, supported by several sponsors, aims to discover new talents and provide a platform for young golfers to showcase their skills. A special division for players aged 19-21 will also be contested, and the event carries added significance as a World Amateur Golf Ranking event, offering valuable points and international exposure. Additionally, a one-day Parent and Child tournament will be held on January 5, featuring former national team coach Marlon Dizon.
