Former Police Spokesperson Reassigned to Mindanao Post

Former Philippine National Police spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo was reassigned to Mindanao, according to the latest reassignment order issued by PNP acting chief Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. Fajardo was removed as the director of the Directorate for Comptrollership and assigned to the Area Police Command-Eastern Mindanao, along with Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete. He was replaced by Major General Westrimundo Obinque, a classmate of Nartatez. Meanwhile, Major General Christopher Birung will replace Obinque as head of the National Police Training Institute. The order, which is the first reshuffle under Nartatez’s leadership, took effect on September 6, 2025. Recently, Nartatez announced that Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño, the PNP-Public Information Office chief, will serve as the new spokesperson of the PNP.
