Davao City has the largest share in Mindanao’s 2023 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) among the 28 provinces and six Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) with at least P532.54 billion. This comprises 14.8 percent of Mindanao’s 2023 GDP amounting to P3.60 trillion. The city was followed by Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon at P276.86 billion and P258.31 billion, respectively. Davao City’s per capita GDP also increased in 2023 with P271,958 from its 2022 record of P258,811. In terms of growth in GDP, Davao City ranked second with 7.5 percent growth. This is a testament to the city government’s commitment to ensuring the sustainable growth and development of the city through its programs, projects, and services anchored on further improving the city’s socio-economic status.
