Cloudy Skies, Rains Expected Over Southern Mindanao, Luzon

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect southern Mindanao, while the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will affect Northern and Central Luzon, according to PAGASA. Caraga, Davao Region, Palawan, Sarangani, South Cotabato, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains. The Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, also with a risk of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains. Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, with a possibility of flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains. Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, but with no significant impact. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies, with a risk of flash floods or landslides from severe thunderstorms. The northern and eastern sections of Luzon, and the eastern section of Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speeds moving northeastward, with moderate to rough coastal waters. The rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate wind speeds moving northeastward, with moderate coastal waters. Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speeds moving east to northeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters. Sunrise is at 6:15 a.m. and sunset at 5:31 p.m.
