The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has intensified its campaign to support returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Mindanao as it participated in the launch of the National Reintegration Network (NRN). A memorandum of agreement was signed between the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and 27 partner agencies to deliver comprehensive services to OFWs. The event, held at LimKetKai Center in Cagayan de Oro, brought together returning OFWs and stakeholders. Acting DMW regional director Emmanuel Toledo emphasized that the NRN honors the journey and struggles of every OFW returning home. Beneficiaries of livelihood initiatives were recognized during the event, including 59 Spims completers, 64 LPOR beneficiaries, and 20 ‘Aksyon’ Fund recipients. Misamis Oriental Rep. Yevgeny Vincente Emano encouraged beneficiaries to use the government assistance wisely. The CFO Cagayan de Oro Extension Office Team assisted over 100 OFWs and family members, providing guidance on migration-related concerns and reintegration opportunities. The event concluded with the distribution of rice assistance to OFWs, highlighting the importance of interagency collaboration in ensuring the successful reintegration and welfare of Filipinos abroad.
