BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, successfully concluded its first BYD Tech Tour in Mindanao, held from June 27 to 29 in Cagayan de Oro. The event highlighted the brand’s push to make electric mobility more accessible in the region, offering Kagay-anons the opportunity to experience BYD’s latest electric vehicles through interactive exhibits and test drives. The CDO leg featured BYD’s growing EV lineup, including the Seal 5 DM-i, Sealion 6 DM-i, eMax 7, Shark 6 DMO, and the newly launched subcompact SUV, Sealion 5 DM-i. The event also included immersive technology showcases, allowing attendees to explore the benefits of EV ownership firsthand. According to Adam Hu, BYD Philippines Country Head, the BYD Tech Tour provides an important touchpoint for customers to learn more about the advantages and benefits of electric mobility. Supporting this shift to electric mobility is ACMobility’s expanding EV charging network, with nine charging locations across Mindanao and over 230 charge points nationwide, aiming to reach over 700 by year-end through its Philippine EV Spine initiative.
