Amihan Weather System to Affect Luzon and Visayas

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Luzon and the Visayas on Thursday, according to PAGASA. A Low Pressure Area, formerly known as Ada, is being monitored and is currently estimated to be 1,155 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon. Various regions, including the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and parts of Luzon and Visayas, will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, with no significant impact expected. Meanwhile, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the rest of Visayas, and Northern Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, with a risk of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Wind speeds in Northern Luzon and eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be strong to gale, with rough to very rough coastal waters, while the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, and the rest of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters. Sunrise is expected at 6:25 a.m. and sunset at 5:50 p.m.
