A province in Mindanao is positioning itself as a prominent farm tourism destination following the successful hosting of the 8th Philippine International Farm Tourism Conference. The event, organized by the International School of Sustainable Tourism (ISST) and supported by the City Government of General Santos, took place from February 24 to 26 at the KCC Mall of General Santos City, famously known as the “Tuna Capital of the Philippines.” The three-day conference, themed “Stimulating Sustainable Economic Growth in Rural Communities through Farm Tourism,” gathered practitioners and authorities from the farm tourism industry.
