Authorities are searching for four fishermen from Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental who have been reported missing at sea. The fishermen, aged 28, 34, 48, and 51, are all residents of Barangay Nangan and were last seen fishing off the waters of Manay South Pacific Ocean on board a red motorized banca on August 20, 2025. They were expected to return home on August 25, but have yet to arrive. The Coast Guard has urged the public, especially other fishermen, to report any sightings of the missing fishermen, and has advised fishermen to exercise caution and avoid setting out to sea during periods of rough waves.
