The Marikina Police arrested a 32-year-old woman on Sunday for spreading online sensitive photos of her husband’s alleged mistress.
According to EJ Gomez’s report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the suspect reportedly spread the photos of the victim last January 2021.
“Ito po kasi ay nag-ugat sa kanyang pagdududa sa kanyang asawa na ito ay may karelasyon. Eventually, napatunayan nga niya na mayroon nga itong medyo kinahuhumalingan na ibang babae at doon mismo niya nakita sa cellphone ng lalaki na may mga hindi magandang pictures,” said Marikina City Police chief Police Col. Jenny Tecson.
(This case stemmed from her suspicion that her husband was having an affair. Eventually, she proved that he was indeed somewhat infatuated with another woman, and that’s where she saw the inappropriate pictures on the man’s cellphone.)
“Nagkaroon siya ng galit at saka sama ng loob kaya niya sinend sa mga kamag-anak nitong biktima,” she added.
(She became angry and resentful, which is why she sent [the pictures] to the relatives of this victim.)
Upon learning of the sharing of her private photos, the victim filed a complaint against the suspect.
But the wife pointed out that she did not hide when she was arrested by police officers in Barangay Laging Handa in Quezon City, as she was supposedly contemplating surrender.
“Balak niya rin sumuko sana, naunahan lang natin siya,” said Tecson.
(She was also planning to surrender, but we just got to her first.)
The suspect refused to face the media, but she admitted to spreading the photos.
The suspect is facing charges for violation of Safe Spaces Act and Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/MCG, GMA Integrated News
