Authorities arrested two customers of a restobar in Sampaloc, Manila after they allegedly refused to pay for over P80,000 worth of drinks and food they ordered, according to Sam Nielsen’s Super Radyo DzBB report on Sunday.
According to the Manila Police District (MPD), the suspects declared an “open house treat” when they entered the restobar on Ramon Magsaysay Street and said they would treat everyone, including the employees.
However, when they were asked to pay the bill amounting to P84,880, the suspects refused to pay and allegedly hurt one of the waiters, who lodged the complaint.
The waiter said that one of the suspects ordered them to close the restobar, saying it was his send-off party and that he was soon boarding a ship because he was a seaman.
The MPD is preparing to file an estafa and physical injury charges against the suspects. — Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
