An bag that has been abandoned at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport was found to contain 2.8 kilos of suspected shabu, said to be worth P19 million.
According to Jamie Santos’ report on “Saksi”, the Ugandan to whom the bag was registered was turned back when the passenger tried to enter the country in December.
The bag arrived later and has since been unattended at the NAIA for almost six months.
It came from Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and arrived in the country via a connecting flight from Bangkok.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency said it would determine why the owner of the bag was turned back and sent to his country of origin.
Investigation is ongoing to identify the person behind the seized illegal drugs. —NB, GMA Integrated News
