Authorities on Monday seized over P55 million worth of suspected shabu from a Liberian who arrived from Doha at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Monday.
Initial investigation showed that over eight kilos of white substance, suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride, was seized from the 34-year-old suspect.
The suspected drugs were in 15 improvised pouches of dried shrimp and condiments placed in two of his luggage.
He arrived in the country at 7:30 p.m. via Qatar Airways Flight QR 934.
The suspect came from Lagos, Nigeria via Qatar Airways Flight QR 1406.
Also seized from the suspect were his passport, two boarding passes, one mobile phone, and the customs baggage declaration form. —NB, GMA Integrated News
