Robbery victims recount inhumane treatment by policemen suspects

The victims of the six policemen tagged for alleged instances of robbery in Manila told the National Police Commission about supposed inhumane treatment by the suspects.

According to Ian Cruz’s report on “24 Oras,” the suspects currently face three counts of robbery filed by the Makati Police.

One of the victims said that he believed the policemen should be removed from service.

“Kung saan-saan nila ko hinihila… tapos pinapaso ako ng pinapaso ng taser, tapos binubugbog ako,” the victim said.

(They kept pulling me everywhere… then they kept on burning me with the taser, and then beat me up.)

Other victims also shared their experiences under oath in front of NAPOLCOM Vice Chairman Atty. Rafael Vicente Calinisan.

(I can never forget this person. He is the one who immediately held me by the neck and pointed his gun at my face. I noticed his gun was black. He pointed it at my face and stepped on me before he ran… He stepped on me.)

(They are turning this type of robbery into a living… This kind of policeman should be removed. Instead of protecting civilians, they’re the ones taking advantage.)

Meanwhile, other previous victims have since surfaced to file additional charges against the same suspects.

Said victims included an older woman, who said she was taken by the suspects in Pasay City and was threatened with detention on September 1, 2025.

The suspects allegedly stole her jewelry and demanded a P50,000 bank transfer from her son before she was set free.

Sabi wag kang mag-inarte dyan, baka sampalin pa kita dyan,” she said.

(It’s them. One of them even threatened to slap me. Because I was about to cry, I was crying because I didn’t want to go to jail. He told me to stop being emotional, or he would slap me.)

(‘If you can’t give us P50K, we will put her in jail.’ They said they would go to the office to put me in jail.)

She claimed that more victims wanted to file cases against the suspects but were scared for their own security.

The policemen didn’t give any statement when asked for comment.

Meanwhile, NAPOLCOM has assured that the suspects will be held accountable for their crimes.

“Multiple complainants, gumagamit ng baril, may CCTV, ano pa paguusapan natin? (Multiple complainants, uses guns, with CCTV, what else is there to talk about?) These policemen are up for dismissal,” said Calinisan.
