Visitors of Rizal Park in Manila celebrated a wet Christmas as rain poured on Wednesday.
According to Mav Gonzales’ report on “24 Oras,” Girlie and her family held their Christmas party under the gazebo in the Chinese Garden.
Coming from Valenzuela City, Girlie said it is their first time celebrating Christmas together in the park.
Jun Francisco gave early Christmas gifts to his godchildren to do some sightseeing with his family in Rizal Park. But they had to take shelter from the rain before walking in the park.
Meanwhile, Rosalina said she and her family will take a quick stroll before going to a mall as the rain makes it difficult to walk around.
Some visitors took shelter in food tents, like Delia Francisco, who wanted to bond with her family this Christmas.
Despite the rain, other people still took photos with the Christmas displays and the Rizal Monument.
Nel, a photographer, said there are fewer people than last year because of the rain, so he also had less income.
The dancing fountain show in Rizal Park will be until 11 p.m. while the clock tower of Manila City Hall exhibited a video map depicting a happy and colorful Christmas celebration of a Manileño family. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
