QC officials report hike in dengue cases

The number of dengue cases in Quezon City has increased by 350% from January 1 to 21 compared to the same period last year, according to a report on Super Radyo DZBB.

Quezon City Surveillance and Epidemiology Unit reported 162 dengue cases from January 1 to 21, 2023.

The number of cases increased by 350% compared to the figures in the same period last year.

The most number of cases was recorded in District 6 with 39 patients while the area with the lowest number is District 5 with 15 cases.

There were no dengue-related deaths reported.

City Health officials has advised the public to seek early medical treatment after symptoms such as high fever and rashes are observed. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
