Over 1,000 families have been displaced by a fire that struck Barangay Tatalon in Quezon City over the weekend, which also left three people with minor burns.
Residents said the fire could have started in a house left with appliances still plugged in while the owner was out.
“Aalis po tayo ng bahay, siguruduhin po natin na ‘yung mga electrical appliance po natin na nakasaksak ay nakatanggal,” F/SSupt. Aristotle Banyaga said in a report by Jonathan Andal on GMA’s “24 Oras Weekend.”

At least three individuals reported minor burns, including two fire volunteers and one resident.
For his part, Quezon City Fourth District Councilor Egay Yap said the local government unit will provide financial assistance to the affected residents, ranging from P5,000 to P10,000 per family depending on whether they are renters or owners. —LBG, GMA Integrated News
