Police have arrested the gunman involved in the shooting at a basketball court in Paranaque City, which killed two people and injured four others.
The 59-year-old suspect was nabbed in a condominium unit in Barangay Moonwalk, Paranaque, on Friday at around 9 p.m., according to Police Major General Anthony Aberin, chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), in a report by Jhomer Apresto and in a separate report on “Saksi.”
Authorities seized two guns from the suspect.
The NCRPO earlier said the suspect is convicted of homicide in a 2023 case and has an outstanding warrant.
On Wednesday night, the gunman used a 9mm pistol and opened fire while the victims were playing basketball.
Investigation revealed the suspect is a resident of the condominium. It was also found that the gunman already had a past argument with one of the fatalities and the wounded victims. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
