A resident was injured as fire hit a residential area in Barangay 2, Sangandaan in Caloocan City early Wednesday morning.
The fire started past 3 a.m. as most of the residents were still asleep, according to a report by James Agustin on Unang Balita.
Residents joined hands in helping firemen, going up on rooftops and passing on pails of water to douse the fire.
The second fire alarm was raised by authorities around 5 a.m., according to a report by Ralph Obina on Dobol B TV.

Firemen had difficulty in putting out the fire as water ran out in their fire trucks. Residents helped in whatever they could.
The fire was put out at 5:58 a.m.
Some residents were not able to save any of their belongings.
The Bureau of Fire Protection is still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire as well as extent of damage. —BAP/KG, GMA Integrated News
