Police have arrested a delivery rider for allegedly raping in December his 15-year-old goddaughter.
According to Emil Sumangil’s report on “24 Oras”, the suspect reportedly even laughed when the warrant for his arrest took some time even after the complaint against him has been filed.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala sa ginawa nun. Para akong binagsakan ng langit at lupa. Itinuring ko silang kapatid, kamag-anak,” the victim’s mother said.
“Itinuring siyang ama ng anak ko,” she added.
There was an attempt to keep what happened to the victim a secret.
The mother, however, had her suspicions after changes in her daughter’s behavior.
It was the victim’s teacher who told the mother about the alleged rape.
