A motorcycle rider died after he hit a center island and was thrown off the vehicle in Sampaloc, Manila.
In EJ Gomez’s Monday report on “Saksi,” the motorcycle rider was a call center agent on his way home from work past midnight on Saturday.
The motorcycle rider died due to the sustained severe injuries on his head and other parts of his body.
According to a witness, the motorcycle rider was driving fast. After he hit the center island, his head was stuck in the steering wheel of the motorcycle.
Emergency medical technician Nestor Aselrit said they saw the motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet.
Meanwhile, barangay personnel said the belongings of the motorcycle rider were stolen by a bystander.
CCTV footage showed that the bystander approached the incident area and picked up the scattered items.
The motorcycle rider’s family said among the stolen items were his phone.
