Mayoral candidates Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Stella Quimbo and hold their respective campaigns in Manila and Marikina City on Sunday.
Domagaso is seeking a mayoral position in Manila while Quimbo is running for mayor in Marikina City.
The former Manila mayor handed out election merchandise during his motorcade in Districts 5 and 6 of the nation’s capital. WIth him was his running mate, Chi Atienza.
The crowd was also seen approaching him to get his autograph.
Domagoso and Atienza are running against incumbent mayor Honey Lacuna who was also Domagoso’s vice mayor before he ran for the presidency in 2022.
Meanwhile, Quimbo was accompanied by members of her political party, Team Bagong Marikina, as she courted voters.
Among her political allies are her husband Miro Quimbo, who is running for District 2 Representative, and Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, who is seeking the District 1 Representative post.
Supporters of Quimbo and Pimentel also held a motorcade.
Quimbo is running against former Marikina City District 1 Rep. Marjorie “Maan” Teodoro and the incumbent vice mayor, Marion Andres. The previous mayor, Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro is the husband of Maan and is running for the District 1 congressional seat. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
