Third-term Marikina Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro on Saturday filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for a potential return as congressman of the city’s first district.
Teodoro hopes to succeed his wife, incumbent first district representative Marjorie Ann Teodoro, at the elective post.
He served at the congressional seat from 2007 to 2016.
According to a report by Carlo Mateo of Super Radyo DZBB, Teodoro will be running under the National Unity Party (NUP).
Saturday is the fifth day for aspirants to file their COCs for the May 2025 national and local elections.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) kicked off Tuesday the week-long filing of COCs for the 2025 national and local elections (NLE) in May, with more than 18,000 positions up for grabs. — Jamil Santos/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
