A father found himself behind bars in Pasig City after he fired his gun after he was attacked by several men while he was reportedly looking for those who hit his son during a basketball game.
According to Emil Sumangil’s report on “24 Oras,” three persons were wounded in the incident.
CCTV footage showed the suspect on a busy street confronting a pedestrian who scampered away.
He continued to walk before he was pushed, punched, and hit with a motorcycle helmet.
It was then that he pulled out his gun and fired it. Those who attacked him ran in different directions.
The gunman also fled on a motorcycle.
He was arrested after less than 24 hours.
The suspect said he was only defending his son. He said he surrendered to prevent any harm from happening to his family.
