LRT-2 and MRT-3 lines offered free rides on Saturday in celebration of Rizal Day.
Both LRT-2 and MRT-3 gave free rides on their trains starting at 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
The country marked the 127th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal on Saturday, December 30.
Rizal, an ophthalmologist by profession, wrote the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo as he advocated for political reforms during the Spanish occupation.
