A gas station in Quezon City was temporarily shut down on Monday over an alleged gas leak.
The QC Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) cordoned off the Power Fill gasoline station on Visayas Avenue after a strong smell of gas coming from the establishment was observed, according to a report by Allan Gatus on Super Radyo dzBB.
Residents said they started noticing the smell on Sunday evening, but it became stronger early Monday.
Representatives from the QC government, BFP, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources went to the site to investigate the incident.
Authorities also said the underground fuel tank’s gas reserve should be siphoned before they can conduct a gas leak test.
GMA News Online contacted the company operating the gas station to get a statement but has yet to receive a reply.
