Fire hit the fourth floor of the Pasig City Hall on Thursday morning, prompting the suspension of operations for the day.
In a post on Facebook, the Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO) said the fire reached the first alarm at 9:18 a.m., triggering the evacuation of city hall employees and visitors.
Citing the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the PIO said fire out was declared at 9:26 a.m.
No one was reported hurt in the incident, the PIO said.
Due to the smoke, the PIO said operations in the city hall were suspended starting 10 a.m.
“Ang mga non-essential personnel ay pinayuhan na umuwi, at ang mga essential personnel para sa pag-manage ng insidente na lamang ang required na manatili sa City Hall,” it said.
(Non-essential personnel are advised to go home, only essential personnel are required to stay at the City Hall to manage the incident.) —KBK, GMA Integrated News
