A man was arrested in Navotas for the alleged gang rape of his eldest daughter, along with two other relatives.
According to an exclusive report by Emil Sumangil on 24 Oras Weekend on Sunday, the Philippine National Police Maritime Group pursued the suspect, who was aboard a motorbanca en route to Bulacan.
“Gumamit siya ng rented banca from Navotas Fish Port and supposedly tatawid siya ng Bulacan,” said Police Major Dandy Ferriol Jr., chief of the PNP Maritime Group NCR North Station.
(He used a rented motorized banca from Navotas Fish Port and was supposedly heading to Bulacan.)
The suspect is facing qualified rape charges in Leyte for his alleged involvement in the gang rape of his daughter, who was then a minor.
“Actually, tatlo sila na accused dito—isa yung stepfather ng victim, isa naman yung tito or kapatid ng nahuli namin, and last ay itong tatay nitong victim,” Ferriol said.
(There are three accused—the victim’s stepfather, the uncle or sibling of the suspect we apprehended, and the victim’s biological father.)
The victim’s stepfather and uncle had been arrested earlier, before authorities apprehended her father.
