Face-to-face classes in Pasig City will continue despite the three-day transport strike that will begin on Monday, the city government said.
In a statement on social media late Sunday, the Pasig City Public Information Office said that it does not expect mobility in the city to be greatly affected by the transport strike.
“Inaasahan na hindi gaanong maapektuhan ang mobilidad sa Lungsod ng Pasig kaugnay ng scheduled three-day transport strike na magsisimula bukas hanggang sa Miyerkules (November 20-22, 2023), ayon sa impormasyon tungkol sa mga apektadong ruta mula sa LTFRB,” it said.
(Mobility in Pasig is not expected to be greatly affected in connection with the three-day strike from tomorrow to Wednesday, according to information on the affected routes from the LTFRB.)
Nevertheless, it added, it is ready to deploy Libreng Sakay vehicles for affected commuters.
“[T]uloy ang face-to-face classes sa kabila ng nasabing transport strike,” it added.
(Face-to-face classes will continue.)
Transport group PISTON earlier announced a three-day transport strike in protest of the December 31 deadline for public utility vehicles to enlist in the government’s PUV modernization program.
