The Bureau of Customs seized 51 high-end vehicles at a showroom in Pasig City on Wednesday.
In a statement released by the BOC, Warrants of Seizure and Detention were served on the owners after the vehicles were discovered during the service of a Letter of Authority on July 4.
The owners were required to submit registration papers and evidence of payment of correct duties and taxes for the vehicles within a 15-day mandated period.
Twenty-eight of the 51 vehicles were transferred to the BOC Port of Manila, while the rest are scheduled for transfer.
The owners of the vehicles would be provided with more time to produce further documentation for the release of their high-end motor vehicles. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
