A caregiver was nabbed in Santa Cruz, Manila after allegedly stealing up to P5 million worth of jewelry from her late employer.
According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras,” a complaint was lodged against the 45-year-old caregiver after gold bracelets, expensive watches, rings with precious gems, and a diamond necklace went missing from her employer’s vault.
(The subject may have stolen the jewelry when there was a wake for the employer’s mother because no one was in their house. That’s when she got the chance to open the vault)
Based on data gathered by the NBI, the suspect has two warrants of arrests from 2017.
She was also found to have changed the spelling of her name on her IDs and other documents.
(It turns out that their caregiver was previously charged with theft and qualified theft previously. They allegedly have a group of caregivers that are hired by employers, but their motives are to steal from them at the end)
The suspect is currently being detained at the NBI Detention Facility at the New Bilibid Prison.
