A bloodied body was found inside a drum near a creek in Barangay Palingon in Taguig City early Tuesday.
According to Oscar Oida’s report in “24 Oras”, a couple discovered the drum when they were about to plant crops. One of them decided to check on what was inside the drum, which caught them by surprise.
“Nagtaka ako kung anong laman, sinilip ko, pagsilip ko, tao,” said Ronilo Machina.
(I was curious about what’s inside. So I checked inside and I found a human body.)
The couple immediately called the authorities to check on the body, which they believe was only recently killed.
“Bago lang, ang daming dugo ng damit,” said Josephine Brengila.
(I think it was just killed recently because there is still lots of blood on the clothes.)
“Kagabi lang yun, sir kasi hindi pa naman mabaho,” said Ronilo.
(I think it was just done yesterday because there’s still no foul smell.)
However, this is not the first time that the couple encountered a dead person in the same area.
“Kasi malayo sa CCTV,” said Ronilo.
(Because it’s far from the CCTV.)
