Almost P14 million worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Las Piñas City.
According to a ”24 Oras” report by Marisol Abdurahman on Friday, two persons were nabbed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Intelligence Service following a surveillance.
Authorities said that the group’s operations, which involve shabu orders in kilograms, covered Metro Manila and the Visayas.
“‘Yung mga item nila, nanggagaling dito sa Pampanga. Allegedly, isang Chinese national yung mga kinukunan nila ng item. Mayroon silang mga dating transaction na namonitor ng tropa na malaki din. Hanggang Visayas [ang operasyon nila], abot five kilos ang transaksyon minsan,” said PDEA PIO Director Lawin Gabales.
(Their items come from Pampanga. Allegedly, they source the items from a Chinese national. They had big transactions that we previously monitored. [Their operations cover] up to Visayas, and the transactions sometimes reach five kilos.)
“Ito yung mga nagdadala, nagta-transport ng drugs, at wala silang downline na malaki na parang mag distribute. So from two kilos, deliver ng two kilos din. Bahala na babagsakan nila kung paano i-distribute. Ito sila, minsan lang mag deal, pero by kilos to sila. Hindi sila nag transact masyado nang mababa,” he added.
(These are the people who bring, transport drugs, and have no massive downline to distribute them. So from two kilos, they also deliver two kilos. It’s up to the receiver how they will distribute. They don’t make deals often, but they transact by kilos. They don’t transact if it’s quite small.)
Two kilograms of shabu valued at almost P14 million were seized during the operation.
A medical examination was scheduled for the two suspects who are currently in PDEA custody. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
