Six people sustained injuries after a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) exploded in Barangay NBBS Dagat-dagatan, Navotas.
According to James Agustin’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” CCTV footage showed children playing along a narrow street when an explosion startled them.
Wounded residents were also seen asking for help as they were leaving the area.
Among the injured people are a woman and her two children.
Some injured residents remain at the hospital for recovery, but are in stable condition.
The explosion from a small stove with an LGP tank shattered the window glass of the house and its neighbors.
Belongings of the affected residents were also scattered as the explosion reached the second floor of the house where it was located.
The LPG tank exploded while batches of corn were being cooked.
The Bureau of Fire Protection and the Navotas local government unit are probing into the incident and looking into solutions to prevent similar cases in the future.— Mariel Celine Serquiña/LDF, GMA Integrated News
