3 more fire incidents hit Manila on Chinese New Year

Three more fire incidents were recorded in Manila on Chinese New Year.

The Bureau of Fire Protection – National Capital Region (BFP-NCR) reported a blaze that broke out in a residential area at Hermosa Street corner Limay Street in Tondo Wednesday.

The first alarm was raised at 11:59 a.m., before it was declared under control at 12:21 p.m. Fire out was declared at 12:25 p.m.

A fire also hit a mix of residential and commercial area at Ongpin Street corner Bermuda Street in Binondo just about after midday.

The first alarm was raised at 12:24 p.m. and second alarm at 12:27 p.m.

The fire was declared under control at 12:57 p.m., and finally put out at 1:15 p.m.

A residential area also went ablaze at Herbosa Street in Barangay 91 in Tondo.

The first to second alarm was declared at 12:50 p.m., then a third alarm at 12:57 p.m.

The fire was declared under control at 1:12 p.m. and put out at 1:43 p.m.

Earlier in the day, two people were killed after a fire also broke out in a condominium building along Ongpin Street in Binondo.

The BFP said the two fatalities were both household helpers who were trapped in a burning unit on the 35th floor. —Jamil Santos/AOL, GMA Integrated News
