Two men were arrested in Baseco Compound in Manila for allegedly detaining and raping two minors.
According to a “State of the Nation” report by Vonn Aquino, the suspects and another unidentified man met the victims, aged 13 and 14, on social media and invited them out to drink.
The victims were then allegedly brought to the house of one of the suspects, where they were detained and raped for two days.
“Pinatakas [lang] po sila nung nanay [ng suspek], kasi naririnig na raw po silang umiiyak,” said the mother of one of the victims.
The suspects denied the allegations when they were arrested.
“[Noong] nakita namin sila, nakita ko na nanginginig po sila sa takot. Isa po sa requirements is to magkaroon ng medicolegal… ma-examine po sila at based po sa outcome po ng examination, nakita nga po na naabuso sila,” said Baseco Police Station Commander Police Lieutenant Colonel Emmanuel Gomez.
“Hindi naman ako gumalaw sayo ah. Hindi naman po ako ang gumalaw diyan,” one of the suspects said.
The two men did not comment on the allegations. The police is currently hunting down the third suspect. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
