THE European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden in Manila, announces the upcoming 2025 Transportation Forum, happening on September 11, 2025 at The Westin Manila, Ortigas Center. The Manila Times is a proud media partner of the forum.
With the theme “Connecting the Philippines: Sustainable Transport, Safer Lives,” the forum seeks to address urgent transport challenges driven by rapid urbanization, increasing demand, and the need to reduce carbon emissions. It aims to serve as a catalyst for collaboration between public and private sectors to modernize and future-proof the country’s transport system.
The forum will focus on three key transformation pillars. First, safer infrastructure through strengthening road and rail safety policies, infrastructure development, and enforcement mechanisms to protect all road users. Second, smart and safer vehicles by promoting the shift to cleaner, connected, and technology-driven mobility solutions that enhance safety and efficiency. Third, sustainable mass transport through encouraging the adoption of low-carbon transport modes, electric vehicles, and investments in green transport infrastructure.
Notable speakers include H.E. Anna Ferry, Ambassador of Sweden; Senator JV Ejercito; DOT Undersecretaries Mark Pastor and Ramon Reyes; UN Special Envoy Jean Henri Todt; and industry leaders from Bosch, Volvo, and the Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines.
Bosch, Volvo, Axis Communications, ACMobility, and Ayala Corporation join as Co-Presenters, with support from AutoHub Group, Royal Cargo, and Stratcon Philippines as Advocacy Partners. Media Partners include Carmudi Philippines, and Port Calls.
The event aspires to set a clear path towards a safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable transport future for the Philippines.
